HERO CHEESE: Lanark Blue

Presenting our hero cheese for July - a true jewel in the crown of Scottish Food and Drink, Lanark Blue by Errington Cheese.

Made with raw ewe’s milk, Lanark Blue was the first ever cheese produced by legendary cheesemakers, Errington Cheese, over 40 years ago.

Based loosely on a Roquefort recipe, Lanark Blue is a semi-soft blue with a creamy texture and natural sweetness, with an even spread of blue veining carrying an earthy and tangy flavour profile.

You can read more about this month’s hero cheese and the people behind it in the July issue of Cheese Crowd.
